The problem is that discomfort is required for growth. We are perfectly capable of feeling discomfort and moving forward. In fact, it is a very healthy experience.

The autonomic brain (our ego) is entirely self-focused and reads everything that happens as an attack or affirmation of our being.
The fact is that things just happen and we have to navigate around them. They simply don’t mean all of the things that we make them mean in our minds.
